Wi-Fi SYSTEM General information on how to configure routers
We recommend using TP-Link or Mikrotik routers. It is quite easy to configure them, and you are unlikely to encounter any difficulties in the process.
In order for your router to be authenticated, special software must be installed on it. There are several ways to configure routers:
TP-Link and other home routers for small cafes
Configuring routers via DD-WRT is the easiest way, but you may encounter some configuration issues due to differences in different firmware sub-versions.
Configuring routers via OpenWRT – requires a more advanced level of knowledge of computers.
Mikrotik for hotels and high-load locations
Configuring Mikrotik routers – for WiFi zones, where you have more than 30 concurrent connections to the Internet. Also, if you do not have a permanent IT specialist among your staff, we recommend installing Mikrotik equipment. This equipment is stable and has the hardware capability to restore its working capacity – unlike household routers.
Linux server, for facilities with maximum load
For organizations where peak load exceeds 200 concurrent connections, we recommend using a server-based hotspot controller.
An inexpensive computer can support up to 1000 connections.
